Hillcrest Bed & Breakfast

Welcome to Hillcrest, the home of Dave, Jane, Simon and Samantha Johnson. Hillcrest is home to a band of thoroughbred horses and has an active breeding program. Dave would welcome the opportunity to share his passion for this magnificent breed and discuss the merits of thoroughbred racing over a selected glass of New Zealand wine.

Pick up and drop off from Wellington airport or railway station is available by arrangement. Escape the city and take advantage of our weekend getaways over Friday and Saturday. Ideal for that romantic interlude relaxing in front of the open fire over winter, soaking in the spa bath and just simply unwind. Weekend packages arranged to individual requirements.

Fully self contained, the homestay features the highest quality of fixtures and can accommodate up to four people - An additional double bedroom is available upon request.

The main bedroom has a king size sleigh bed with quality linen and separate ensuite with shower, spa bath and under floor heating.

Facilities

The lounge/living area incorporates a complete kitchen with oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. Full coffee/tea facilities and a mini bar.

A luxurious Italian sofa which folds out to Queen size bed with inner sprung mattress, sits in front of the open fire. An extendable dining table with leather chairs adds to the charm of the homestay.

Full Sky, DVD and CD accompany the 42” plasma TV together with Broadband internet.

Large Bi-fold doors open onto the private deck opposite the mini horse paddock. Relax and enjoy an evening drink around the BBQ and let the mini horses entertain you.

Hillcrest supports a non-smoking policy.
